About me
Whether you're navigating acute distress or seeking long-term support, I aim to create a safe, collaborative, and compassionate space for healing. I work with adults who are navigating the impacts of trauma, emotional pain, and significant life transitions. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in familiar patterns, therapy can offer a space to slow down.
Many of the individuals I support struggle with an overwhelming inner critic— parts that are harsh, self-blaming, or perfectionistic. Through therapy, we can understand these internal voices, where they come from, and how they show up in your life.
I am dedicated to supporting individuals with concerns related to PTSD, grief, and trauma. My approach is integrative, primarily drawing from Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), which allow us to explore the different parts of your inner world with curiosity and compassion.
Together, we can gently unpack your emotional experiences, make room for what’s been pushed aside, and support the discovery of a stronger, more grounded sense of self. Having experienced stigma to seeking help, I understand the courage it can take to reach out. I would be honoured to accompany you on your journey, listen to you, and support you. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to talk about your needs and how Ocean Blue can help.

Pirntha’s experience
- BIPOC+ Intersectional & Anti-Oppressive Support: As an immigrant to Canada and a woman of colour, I empathize with the challenges of navigating bi-cultural and intersecting identities while developing a cohesive sense of self. I bring this lived understanding to my work with marginalized communities, alongside 6+ years of professional experience across community-based, outpatient, and inpatient hospital settings. I support concerns including post-traumatic stress disorder, low self-esteem, infidelity, depression, anxiety, grief, anger, moral injury, sleep disturbances, substance use and addiction, occupational stress, relationship difficulties, return-to-work concerns, and life transitions.
- Feminist Therapy & Advocacy: As an Addictions and Mental Health Case Manager within a housing program, I provided counselling and case management to women with complex mental health histories, human trafficking experiences, substance use, and/or homelessness. I have advocated across social, healthcare, and legal systems when women become incarcerated, engage in sex work, or experience physical and mental illness. As a Trauma Counsellor at a rape crisis centre, I offered client-centred counselling, crisis intervention, and advocacy—centering clients’ voices, honouring autonomy, and considering the social and structural factors that impact mental health.
- Trauma-Informed Approach: I recognize that healing is unique and view you as the expert of your story. I draw on evidence-based approaches that are both skills-based and experiential to facilitate healing in ways that resonate with your needs. I embrace that our struggles are multidimensional—much like our lives. Guided by this philosophy, I am committed to culturally competent psychotherapy and to contributing to well-being within and beyond my community.
Fun Fact
When I’m not in session, you’ll usually find me in nature—hiking, wandering by the water, or obsessively photographing every sunrise and sunset (yes, I have way too many and no, I’m not deleting any… just watching Apple bill me for extra iCloud storage every month while quietly crying). I think of emotions like waves: sometimes calm, sometimes crashing, and occasionally soaking you unexpectedly. Nature reminds me that life moves beyond each wave—and in therapy, I aim to help you surf your emotional tides with awareness, resilience, and a little laughter along the way.
