About me
It is not easy to face your emotions, thoughts, past experiences, and the challenges unfolding in your life. Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when it means sharing parts of yourself that feel uncertain or vulnerable.
I strive to create a safe and welcoming space where we can talk about both the joyful moments you want to celebrate and the heavier topics that may feel difficult to name, such as trauma, grief, loss, or fear. There is room for laughter and lightness, as well as honesty and depth.
I approach therapy from a holistic and individualized perspective. No two people are the same, so our work will be shaped around your unique experiences, needs, and goals. Whether you are navigating a challenging season or seeking to maintain your mental well-being, we will move at a pace that feels safe, supportive, and right for you.
My hope is to listen deeply and authentically, and to walk alongside you with compassion and curiosity as you move through your journey.

The Integration of Faith, Spirituality, and Clinical
Science: With a Master of Divinity in Clinical Counselling, I
bring together theological training and evidence-based
psychological practice in a thoughtful and clinically
grounded way. In addition to my clinical work, I also
serve as a youth pastor, which deepens my understanding of
faith development, identity formation, and the
complexities of navigating belief within family and
community systems. For clients who wish to incorporate
their faith or spirituality into therapy, this integration
allows those values to become a meaningful and supported
part of the healing process rather than something set
aside.
At the same time, the role of spirituality in our work is always guided by you. If you prefer a fully secular approach, our sessions will remain rooted in clinical science and evidence-based psychotherapy. Whether you identify as religious, spiritual, questioning, or not connected to faith at all, your personal values, worldview, and goals will shape the direction of our work together. - 1st and 2nd Generation Immigrants Support: As a As a fluent Korean speaker and active youth pastor, I bring a lived understanding of the cultural nuances, intergenerational expectations, and identity struggles that many Asian Canadian individuals and families experience. I am attentive to the often unspoken values and family roles within Asian cultures that can deeply shape relational patterns. I draw on this cultural awareness to help bridge generational gaps, support couples and families through transitions such as parenting or divorce, and navigate the complexities of bicultural or multicultural identities with clarity, empathy, and care.
- Youth and Adolescents (Grade 6+): As a youth pastor, I am deeply committed to walking alongside young people through the important transitions of adolescence. This season of life often includes academic pressures, evolving self esteem, and complex questions about identity and belonging. I offer a supportive and engaging space where youth feel seen, heard, and respected, while gaining practical tools to strengthen resilience, confidence, and emotional well being.
Fun Facts
Outside of therapy, I am into all kinds of art, including anime, yes, proudly! One quote I love from Naruto is, “What I want to know is not the shortcut or the easy path, but how to navigate the rugged one.” It sounds intense for a cartoon, but it actually reflects how I see growth. Life rarely gives us the easy path, so we might as well learn how to handle the rugged one with some resilience… and maybe a bit of ninja spirit.
